Blender Lemonade

Bright, refreshing, and wonderfully simple, this Whole Lemon Lemonade blends the entire lemon—peel, pulp, and juice—to capture a fuller, more aromatic citrus flavor than traditional lemonade. Agave nectar provides just enough sweetness to balance the lemon’s lively tartness and subtle bitterness, while ice makes it exceptionally cold and refreshing. It’s a quick, fresh-tasting lemonade with bold citrus character and virtually no prep work.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons Agave nectar

Preparation

  1. Wash and scrub the lemon thoroughly. (Remember, it’s going in the blender, peel and all, so you’ll want to be sure it’s squeaky clean.)
  2. Cut the lemon into quarters and remove the seeds and the pith (that thick white stuff in the middle).
  3. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
  4. Select Variable 1. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.
  5. Blend for 1 minute or until mixture is ultra-smooth.
  6. Pour into a glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.
