Customizing Your Soup

For a personalized touch, add 1/2 cup of your chosen ingredient while cooking:

  • Cream of Mushroom Soup: Sliced mushrooms
  • Cream of Asparagus Soup: Chopped asparagus
  • Cream of Broccoli Soup: Chopped broccoli
  • Cheese Soup: Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Cream of Celery Soup: Diced celery
  • Cream of Chicken Soup: Cooked, diced chicken
  • Cream of Potato Soup: Diced potatoes
  • Cream of Tomato Soup: Chopped tomatoes
  • Cream of Shrimp Soup: Cooked shrimp

Gourmet Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk powder (instead of non-fat dry milk for a richer taste)
  • 3/4 cup arrowroot powder (a silkier, more delicate thickener than cornstarch)
  • 2 Tablespoons freeze-dried shallots (for a more refined onion flavor)
  • 1 Tablespoon roasted garlic powder (adds depth and umami)
  • 1 teaspoon herbes de Provence (a fragrant blend of thyme, rosemary, oregano, and lavender)
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper (milder and more elegant than black pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon dried porcini mushroom powder (adds an earthy, umami boost)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian parsley flakes (for freshness and a touch of brightness)
