Cinnamon Sugar Cruffins are a bakery-style treat that combines the flaky, buttery layers of a croissant with the fun muffin shape. Rolled with cinnamon sugar, baked until golden, and coated in a sweet, crunchy finish, they’re a perfect indulgence for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cans crescent roll dough (or croissant-style dough)
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 Tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2–3 Tablespoons flour (for rolling)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a muffin tin with non-stick spray or butter.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface, pressing seams together to form a smooth sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place the second sheet of dough on top and gently press together.
- Slice the stacked dough into long strips. Roll each strip into a coil, similar to a cinnamon roll.
- Dip each rolled strip into the remaining melted butter, then coat with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Place each roll into a prepared muffin cup.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
Storage
- Best enjoyed fresh the same day.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Rewarm in the oven at 300°F for 5–7 minutes to restore crispness.
